Defense Derby, a strategy defense game published by Krafton (PUBG), is scheduled for a worldwide release on May 3rd (excluding Vietnam). The game has been in early access on Android and iOS since early July in 6 countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Canada, and Hong Kong.
This game introduces a unique gameplay combining **4-player PvP** and **auto chess** elements into the traditional strategy defense genre. In this game, 4 players each use 1 hero and 8 units to block monsters from entering their gates. The last one standing wins. Between monster waves, there's an **auction phase** for bidding on a unit; the highest bidder obtains the unit for upgrades or to strengthen their forces. This ensures fairness as you need to balance unit synergy and wisely invest in upgrades.
The game also features an upgrade system for stronger units using resources, similar to *Clash Royale* (except heroes, which require gacha for duplicates to level up).
